A.I. will never become sentient. if ALL the data in ALL the libraries in the world were captured in a single digital file, would that data become Artificially Intelligent?? No. Why not? No programming. if if A.I. has "open ended" programming that potentially allows it to do completely random calculations/permutations, what prevents A.I. from corrupting itself? giving itself a virus? deciding to overload its processors to the point of meltdown?? or just switching itself off?? Yes, Again, its programming.
